OpticalBurnBurning is free. You pay the day a disc stops reading. Most burning software gives you thirty days and then locks the door. We think that is backwards. Nobody argues about price the afternoon the wedding photos will not open — but to be there that afternoon, the program has to have been sitting on the machine for years, doing the ordinary jobs for nothing.

Photos, films and documents, dragged in or added by folder; the ring and the bar fill against the disc type you choose, in usable space. Rename a file on the disc without touching yours, then choose: finalise, eject, verify every file after burning, put a fingerprint list on the disc, build the image on the hard drive first, one to five copies, a buffer from 8 MB to 1 GB.
It reads every sector it can and saves the disc as an .iso image, retrying the difficult ones. Whatever stays lost is written into a .bad.txt beside the image, so you know exactly what is missing instead of guessing. Standard for DVD and Blu-ray, aggressive for CDs. It saves what can still be read — and says plainly what cannot.
When a disc is burned, its fingerprint list goes on it as SHA256SUMS.txt. Here every file on the disc is read again and checked against that list — no originals needed. On this one: six correct, none damaged, none missing, the disc is intact.
MP3, FLAC or WAV tracks, in the order you set. Under the list, the running time against the 80 minutes — twelve tracks, about 49 here — turning red before you burn if they will not fit, and the disc is finalised by itself. WAV needs nothing; MP3 and FLAC need a free encoder, LAME or FLAC, installed once, and the application shows where to get it.
Pick the image and the stick; it says before it starts whether the image fits. Written sector by sector, and Verify after writing reads the whole stick back and compares it with the image, byte by byte. Everything on the stick is lost, and only removable drives are ever listed — a hard disk or an SSD can never be chosen.
Choose the image, the writer and the speed, then finalise, eject, and have the whole disc read back and compared with the image. If the image will not fit on the disc in the drive, it says so before anything starts.
Choose the source and the destination — another drive, or the hard drive as an ISO image. Direct, disc to disc, is fast and needs a rewritable destination: BD-RE, DVD+RW or DVD-RAM. Through an image works with any disc. The copy is checked against the source sector by sector, and with a single drive it reads first, then asks you to swap.
Pick the drive with the disc and the ISO it was made from; the two are compared bit by bit, so you know the burn is perfect instead of hoping it is.
BD-RE, DVD±RW or DVD-RAM. Quick clears the table of contents in roughly ten to thirty seconds; full cleans the whole surface, fifteen to forty-five minutes depending on the disc. Before either, a plain warning that what is on it is gone for good.
Choose the folder, give the image a label, choose where to save it — nothing is burned and no optical drive is involved.
Old images from other programs become something anything will open. A BIN of an audio CD cannot become an ISO, so the application refuses and explains why instead of producing a broken file.
Choose the ISO and a folder, and the files come out — no burning, nothing to mount.
WAV lossless, FLAC lossless and compressed at level 8, 5, 3 or 0, or MP3 from 96 up to 320 kbps. Type the track names one per line and the files come out as 01 - Track name; the list saves and loads again. MP3 and FLAC need the free LAME or FLAC encoder, installed once.
Choose the file, type the password twice, choose where to save. AES-256-GCM, authenticated, so a changed file will not open, with the key derived from the password by PBKDF2-SHA256 over 600,000 rounds. Without the password nobody can open it — not even us.
SHA-256, MD5 or CRC32 — here a SHA-256 fingerprint actually computed, ready to compare with the one you were given.
Choose a file and a protection level — 4 light, 8 medium or 16 strong — and it writes a .sentiora-rs file next to it. If part of the original is damaged later, Recover rebuilds it from that file. It repairs part of a file, not every kind of damage.
A disc’s real state, read straight from the drive: blank, appendable or finalised, how many sessions it has, and how much space is left.
Written by itself on the computer after each operation: what, when, how long, and whether it worked — the recovery that ended with errors included. It can be cleared.
Burning, Rescue, ISO & Audio and Tools. The disc in the drive — its type, size and brand — stays in view at the top, with the drive that reads, the one that writes and the speed. The application speaks fourteen languages.
Activation happens on your own computer. The state, the licence number and the edition show at the top, and the line at the bottom says plainly what goes online: one anonymous signal a day. The screen here was photographed with an older key, made for one address — which is why it asks for one. Keys sold now carry no address, and that line is simply not there.
Errors from the program collect here. Describe what you were doing, then send the report by e-mail — your own mail program opens with it written, to contact@sentiora.dev — or save it to a file. Nothing leaves your PC until you press send.
Burning goes through Windows' own engine, the same one the system uses, so nothing installs a driver of its own or wedges itself between Windows and your drive. The functions that need to talk to the drive directly — raw writing, copying, recovery, ripping, diagnosis — ask for administrator rights, and are not in the Microsoft Store edition.

Verification does not mean "written without an error". It means the disc is read back and compared against what should be on it — and if the check does not reach the end, for whatever reason, it says so plainly instead of quietly passing. The fingerprint list is saved on the disc beside your files as an ordinary SHA256SUMS.txt. In ten years you can check that disc on any computer, with certutil on Windows or sha256sum on Linux, without this program anywhere in sight.
